I'm thrilled to say that I'm a born and raised local, and my journey in the barbering world began back in 1982. I had the privilege of working with the legendary John Herrington, the former owner of John's Barber Shop. Then, in 1996, I took a leap of faith and proudly launched Julie's Headquarters (JHQ). After spending years renting spaces, I finally got the chance to buy and design a fantastic 2000 sq ft. unit at 1004 Asbury Ave.

My dream was simple: to create a haven that caters to both women and men, offering a complete range of services. I wanted the atmosphere to be as cozy as your favorite spot and as inviting as a warm hug. Above all, I aimed to assemble a team of incredibly talented professionals who are committed to delivering top-notch services. Fast forward to July 2021, and with sheer excitement, Julie's Headquarters, or JHQ, became a bona fide hotspot for both locals and visitors.

Having spent my entire career and built my business in Ocean City, I feel profoundly grateful. But what warms my heart even more is the steadfast support I've received from this amazing community for over four decades. It's a blessing beyond words, and I can't wait to continue this journey with all of you.
